What we’re about
We're bringing people together to create a foraging community in the St. Paul area. We will meet at public parks or trails to wander the woods and trails to identify plants and mushrooms, and forage (as laws allow). Or just come to hike and learn. People of all backgrounds and skill levels are welcome to attend - just bring good vibes.
We will be walking through woods, so please dress appropriately. Bug spray, pants and hiking boots are recommended for most events.

See all- Mushroom huntingAfton State Park parking lot, Afton, MN
It's been a rainy June and the mushrooms are loving it. Let's head into the forest to find and identify mushrooms.
Let's meet at the last parking lot in Afton State Park by the trailhead L, at the picnic grounds. At 10:05am, we will hike down the trail and eventually off trail, into some of the woods and the floodplain.
Bring your field guides, phones, knowledge and whatever else you want to for identification. I am by no means an expert, just an organizer, and we will all be learning from each other. Feel free to forage within the rules of the park. You are yourself responsible for knowing foraging laws and identifying anything you choose to collect or consume.
It's recommended to wear hiking boots, pants, and bug spray. There are a lot of mosquitos in the woods.
