Foraging at Afton State Park

Let's meet at the last parking lot in Afton State Park by the trailhead L, at the picnic grounds. There is a picnic grounds and plenty of picnic tables there to meet at. At 10:05am, we will hike down the trail and eventually off trail, into some of the woods of the floodplain. please don't be late!

Bring your field guides, phones and whatever else you want to for identifying plants, mushrooms and trees. I am by no means an expert, just an organizer, and we will all be learning from each other. Feel free to forage within the rules of the park. You are yourself responsible for knowing foraging laws and identifying anything you choose to collect or consume.

It's recommended to wear hiking boots, bug spray, and pants.
