Foraging at Joy Park (Maplewood)

We will meet at the Joy Park parking lot on the north side of Silver Lake in Maplewood, MN. It is just west of Geneva Ave. on Joy Rd. (park in the larger parking lot, not the boat launch). We will walk 1.5 miles on paved and grass trails to identify plants, trees and fungi. Tick prevention is recommended.

Bring your field guides, phones, knowledge and whatever else you want to for identification and we'll all learn from each other. Feel free to forage within the rules of the park, though I don't expect us to find much to forage and it will be focused instead on identification. You are yourself responsible for knowing foraging laws and identifying anything you choose to collect or consume.
