Foraging at Lebanon Hills
Details
Let's meet at the Lebanon Hills Regional Park Visitor Center and hike the trails to find plants, trees and fungi. We will both identify what we find and forage within the rules of the park. Dakota County allows foraging at their parks with a permit. I will apply for a permit for a few things I think we may find and forage, but feel free to apply for your own foraging permit if you'd like to as well.

We'll hike south from Schultz lake and walk about 3 miles at a slow pace on dirt trails. We will mostly be on the trails, but consider dressing for off-trail hiking if we find something worth getting off the trail for. It's recommended to wear hiking boots, pants, and bug repellent.
Bring your field guides, phone, and whatever else you want to for identification. Plan to arrive early as the parking lot can fill (there's another parking lot a couple blocks further out). We'll start the hike at 10:30. See ya there!
