It'll be a great time of year for mushrooms if it ever rains again!

Let's meet at the parking lot at the end of the road in Kinnickinnic State Park. We will hike down the trails to search for edible mushrooms. This will include a lot of off-trail hiking. Expect to hike about 3 miles on grass trails and through untamed woods near the trails. We'll identify fungi and plants we find and forage within the rules of the park.

Wisconsin charges $16 to MN residents for a day pass in the park (c'mon wisconsin). Feel free to comment if anyone wants to carpool.

Bring your field guides, phones, and whatever else you want to for identification. It's recommended to wear hiking boots, pants, and bug repellent. There are a lot of mosquitos in the woods.
We'll start hiking at 9:30. See ya there!
