We'll walk the Mississippi Greenway, get distracted by plants, and identify the ones the interest us. Dakota County allows for reasonable foraging of several common berries, nuts and mushrooms and I'll request a permit for the rose hips also. Rose hips can be used to make syrup, sauces, tea, jelly etc.

Expect to walk about 3 miles on a paved trail at a slow pace. Park at the Fahey trailhead and we'll walk along the Greenway trail.

Dress appropriately for thorny plants and consider bringing gloves for picking rose hips.
