February Meetup!
Details
This meetup we will have a few talks from Kinetic Data, Caroline Karanja (of Geekettes and 26 Letters) and hopefully a couple others. If you would like to give a talk, please contact me at Casie@geekettes.io.
We will also have a talk by Alicia Cozine. She is a systems admin / DevOps person for a small (7-person) software consulting company called Data Curation Experts (DCE). DCE focuses on software solutions for cultural institutions like libraries and museums that want to put their collections online so the world can use them.
Her presentation will demo the A/V-focused tool called Avalon, which DCE will be offering for hosting, and/or a more generic tool called Hyrax for all kinds of digital objects.
Estimated Itinerary:
6:00 - arrival, mingle, eat, network
6:30 - opening remarks, news, icebreaker
7:00 - talks
8:00 - wrap things up, network, AND a giveaway for 2 Frontend Masters subscriptions.
This event will be open to women and our male allies.
