Saturday AM Hike @ Whitetail Woods - Farmington + Original Pancake House

Details

Join us on a hike at Whitetail Woods Regional Park to view the many mid-summer wildflowers that are in bloom! Following the hike,(optional) join us for brunch/lunch at Original Pancake House-Burnsville, 14351 Nicollet Court, Burnsville, MN 55306
https://order.toasttab.com/online/oph-burnsville

We will hike about 6-7 miles at a medium pace (18-20 minute miles) over 2-3 hours. We will stop a few times to take in the view and hydrate and/or apply bug spray. All of the terrain is uneven with a few hills, and are mainly of turf, some gravel, and a small section of paved trail.

Protective clothing or DEET bug spray should be considered for potential ticks, mosquitoes and other bugs that are active at this time of year. You may want to bring a bug headnet along, just in case. Sunscreen or protective clothing is also recommended as we will hiking along some open prairie for part of the hike.

Modern bathrooms are available at the trailhead with a bathroom/water opportunity mid-way through the hike.

Sorry, no pets, +1s or children allowed on this hike.

Parking is FREE!

IMPORTANT: Please honor your RSVP and if your plans change update your status to Not Going as soon as you know, even if you are on the Waitlist.

DIRECTIONS: Map Apps are sometimes wrong with directions to this park. DO NOT TAKE STATION TRAIL from 160th St to 170th (It is not open for through traffic.) I recommend taking Biscayne Ave W south to 170th St., then take a left on 170th St. W and travel east to the park entrance. After turning south into the park, follow the road all the way to the end to the parking lot. We will meet in front of the picnic shelter.
I look forward to seeing you there!
