Last Minute Barely Adequate Friday Morning Hike at Hyland with Bob!

Details

Although many of the regular Friday morning Hyland Hikers (who arrogantly call themselves the Hyland Sole Mates) will be going on the spectacularly fun day of hiking at Frontenac State Park and then drinking adult and not so adult beverages afterwards in the quaint river town of Red Wing, Minnesota, Hyland Sole Mate Bob will lead a barely adequate hike at Hyland for those people who can't or won't spend the day fooling around in Red Wing with their fellow super hikers.

No one knows, including Bob, how long or how fast the hike will be. His friends advise everyone to bring a "lost in the woods" survival kit with them. At least a good compass. And an excellent sense of humor. Bob lost only 4 hikers on his last Hike at Hyland in April.

You will meet up outside the Visitor Center (next to the children's play area) at 8:30 and get going whenever Bob feels like it. The restrooms are open and a cold water fountain is available to fill your water bottle both before and after the hike. Cold water always helps after a day lost in the woods with Bob.

If you sign up but just can't force yourself to come, update your RSVP so some other unsuspecting hiker gets this barely adequate opportunity to hike with Bob.

Questions? Send Bob a message or leave a gently sarcastic comment in the Comments section below.

Hike at your own risk (an obvious warning). It's a lovely park so even if Bob ditches you, you'll be fine. Follow the birds and wildlife back to civilization.

Bob really wants to see you on the hike!
