Sunday Afternoon Hike and Brew! Change in Location!

Please join us on Sunday, October 26, 2025 in Bloomington for a fun hike along and near the Minnesota River. We will head west along the river to the rope ferry, cross over to Nine Mile Creek and return to Lyndale Avenue. See how many eagles you can spot along the river!
Hiking starts at 3:00 pm. It will be a great afternoon of hiking and drinking beer! What better way to spend an autumn Sunday afternoon!

This will be a moderately paced hike (approx. 16.5 to 18 minute miles). We will hike a route approximately 5.4 miles in length, depending on the weather, trail conditions and the decision of the leaders. The route will be on dirt, gravel, grass and wood chip trails.

After the hike, we will drink beer at Nine Mile Brewing, located at 9555 James Avenue South, Suite 290, in Bloomington. The brewery has great indoor seating for large groups with some outdoor seating, and offers a menu of pizza, sandwiches, salads and starters.

No dogs, kids or plus ones.

We hike in light rain or snow, but not a thunderstorm or a blizzard. If it looks like bad weather, we’ll cancel the hike by noon.

We like to start on time. There is a portable bathroom. No potable water.

If your plans have changed and you are unable to attend, please update your RSVP in a timely manner so we are not waiting for you at the start and to allow those on the waitlist to attend.
