🐪Wed. Sunset Hike🌅 @ Richardson Nature Center -Bloomington
Details
Let’s meet up for an invigorating mid-week hike on the trails at Richardson Nature Center/Hyland Park Reserve!
THE HIKE: Plan to hike about 4 miles in 1 ½ - 2 hours at a medium pace (18-20 minute mile). We will hike the rolling hills, to the wetlands, across the prairie to an overlook. The terrain is uneven and varies with wood chips, rocks, roots, loose gravel, snow, ice, mud and dirt.
Grippers and/or poles are recommended due to anticipated packed snow , slush and ice on the trail.
Sunset is around 5:30pm, so plan to bring a headlamp or flashlight, if you need it for low light conditions.
FACILITIES: Modern restrooms and drinking water are available inside the nature center at the trailhead with none along the trail.
This is a Three Rivers Park, so FREE Parking!
Sorry, no dogs, +1s or children allowed. Only Twin Cities Hiking Meetup members who agree to these expectations and the Meetup Community Guidelines will be welcome on the hike.
IMPORTANT: Please honor your RSVP and if your plans change, update your status to Not Going as soon as you are aware, even if you are on the Waitlist.
