We will hike approximately 4 miles at a medium pace(18-20 minute miles depending on trail conditions) through a variety of landscapes including hardwood forest, ravines, oak savanna, rolling prairie and up and down the steep river bluffs. We will pause a few times to enjoy the scenery/hydrate/breathe! Trails are of bare earth, gravel, woodchips, turf, snow, packed snow and ice. Based on expected trail conditions this time of year, grippers and/or hiking poles are recommended.
I also recommend bringing water and a snack to hold you over until our late lunch.
FACILITIES: There are modern bathrooms and water in the visitor center
