Let’s meet up for a ~7.5 mile spring hike at Lake Rebecca Park Reserve! Following the hike(optional) join us for lunch/refreshments nearby at The Whiskey Jar Pub & Eatery, 260 River Street N, Delano, MN 55328

A gently rolling Big Woods landscape and numerous wetland areas make up the beautiful Lake Rebecca Park Reserve. This park is a haven for wildlife, including trumpeter swans.

THE HIKE: Most of the trails will be non-paved trails with uneven terrain that varies with gravel, mud, rocks, roots and dirt. There will be a few asphalt trail segments for connecting with the turf trails. There are rolling hills on this trail. Due to spring conditions, there may be some shallow water or sloppy mud we need to cross, so plan ahead with appropriate footwear and/or extra socks.
Please consider taking precautions for ticks (tucking pants into socks, DEET spray, etc.), as they are present on MN trails now.

FACILITIES: There are portable toilets at the trailhead, with a couple of pit toilets along the way. It is unlikely that there is drinking water available at this time of year, so please bring your full water bottle from home.

Sorry, no dogs, +1s or children allowed on this hike. Only Twin Cities Hiking Meetup members who agree to these expectations and the Meetup Community Guidelines will be welcome on the hike.

IMPORTANT: Please honor your RSVP and if your plans change update your status to Not Going as soon as you know, even if you are on the Waitlist.

HIKE AT YOUR OWN RISK: By signing up for this event, you agree to assume personal responsibility for all risks associated with this event, and release the organizers, event hosts, and other members of the venue, from any liability.

Furthermore, all participants are expected to adhere to the guidelines agreed to when signing up for Meetup which can be reviewed at: Meetup.com > Policies and Community Guidelines > Community Guidelines (https://help.meetup.com/hc/en-us/articles/360002897532-Usage-and-content-policies-Rules-for-using-Meetup)

We are meeting at the BEACH PARKING LOT. After turning in to the park, go left at the T, then follow the road to the end – the beach lot will be on your right.
