Tuesday Morning Hike and Paddle at Bde Maka Ska
Details
Please join us for a Hike and Paddle at Bde Maka Ska with an option to hike around the lake afterwards. We will paddle to Lake of the Isles, through the channel to Cedar Lake, then through the tunnel to Brownie Lake, and back to Bde Maka Ska again.
We will meet at 9:00 at Wheel Fun Rental located at 3000 East Bde Maka Ska Parkway. Kayak rental is $15 an hour for single kayak and $25 an hour for double kayaks, and $25 an hour for canoes. The second hour is free because we are starting before noon. Life jackets included in Rental. You don't have to be an experienced kayaker or canoer to join us. Beginners are welcome.
Don't be late. We start paddling by 9:10.
If you own your own kayak or canoe, please arrive in plenty of time to launch your canoe or kayak and meet the others by 9:00.
Please plan for an extra 10 to 15 minutes to find parking along Bde Maka Ska Parkway or 31st Street. (This may be the most hiking you will get at this event.) We recommend hats, sunscreen and water bottles.
If your plans have changed and you are unable to attend, please update your RSVP in a timely manner so we are not waiting for you at the start and to allow those on the waitlist to attend. Questions? Send me a message or post your questions in the comments section after you RSVP.
Paddle and hike at your own risk: By signing up for this event, you agree to assume personal responsibility for all risks associated with this event, and release the organizers, event hosts, and other members of the venue, from any liability.
Hope to see you at this fun event!
