Sat. AM Long Hike at Carver Park Reserve - Victoria + Thaliwala Indian Kitchen

Let's meet up for a nice long hike of the rolling, scenic trails of Carver Park Reserve starting at the Lowry Nature Center trailhead! Following the hike(optional), join us for lunch at Thaliwala Indian Kitchen, 7850 Market Blvd, Chanhassen, MN 55317

THE HIKE: We will hike about 8 miles at a medium pace (18-20 minute mile - faster than average walking speed) for about 2 ½-3 hours, pausing a few times to hydrate and take in the natural surroundings. Trails are of bare earth, turf, some sections of pavement, with gently rolling forested hills, tamarack bogs and cattail marshes. There may be washouts, ruts, exposed roots, snow, ice, mud or standing water.

Ice grippers(ie: Kahtoola Microspikes) or poles are recommended due to ice and packed snow we see on the trails this time of year.

FACILITIES: Modern restrooms and drinking water are available inside the nature center at the trailhead with a pit toilet or two along the trail. This is a Three Rivers Park, so FREE Parking!

Sorry, no dogs, +1s or children allowed. Only Twin Cities Hiking Meetup members who agree to these expectations will be welcome on the hike.
