A Twin Cities Post-Faith House Party: Nov.08.2024

This is an inherently heretical and sin-friendly event hosted by an atheist former pastor (Drew Bekius). Please read group description on the group page (not just this event page) before coming to this event. Thank you!

EVENT DETAILS

• Location: A home in Saint Paul's Battle Creek neighborhood. Address will be emailed to group members prior to event. (So make sure Meetup has your current email!)
• Time: Come anytime after 8:00 PM. Stay until it gets weird.
• Open Invitation: Feel free to bring others who would vibe well. Estimated attendance 30 persons.
• Admittance: Adults 21+ only, strictly enforced.
• November Featured Game: Many evangelical church folk may be familiar with a 1980s group roleplaying game called "Mafia" (or "Werewolf"). Rules will be explained at the event, but it generally takes about an hour. Anyone who wants to can play, but no one is obligated. If it's not your deal, no problem, you can find your own thing to do with the other wallflowers or just hang out and be amused :)
• Adventures to be had: A variety of informal, non-structured indoor and outdoor games available; conversation; mischief, mayhem, nothing illegal. As is often the case after breaking free of dogma and theism— we celebrate our autonomy and we dance on convention. Heretical and adult-subject-mattered conversations often ensue... But I don't know, fam... it's basically just a fucking house party.
• Quiet Room: In the past, we've provided a designated room without interaction, for those needing to step away for a few breaths. However, no one's ever used it thus far. So we aren't planning to have that this time UNLESS you message me asking to keep it! Then I certainly will!
• Supplied: Some snacks and beverages, some pizza, plenty of water, board games, group games, music, a place to sit and chill.
• WHAT TO BRING WITH YOU: (1) a snack or dessert to share with the group, (2) your own drinks — beverage sharing optional but not required, (3) a chill vibe, (4) amazing stories to share.
• Accessibility: Apologies that my home is not super wheelchair-friendly. While game room and primary restroom are on same level as all external entryways, there are several small sets of stairs connecting everything else.
• Alcohol, weed, and sin-friendly event!
