Come join us for a morning coffee roundtable with civic designers who have had to evaluate when to use (and not) use large language models (LLMs) to deliver multilingual services!
Adapted from their earlier Code for America conference talk, content and instructional designers Alyssa Lawrence, Katie Lane, and Melissa Landin will share when, how, and why they use LLMs — and when and why they don’t — as part of their translation strategy for public services.
Attendees will have a chance to ask questions and also network with like-minded folks. Everyone's welcome. :)

Note, Lost Fox opens at 8 am. From 8-8:15 am, we will have time for folks to grab coffee or tea, and get to know each other. After that, we'll begin the roundtable discussion and have Q&A.
