Explore self-developed housing complexes, called "cohousing" - potluck picnic

Details
A picnic for those looking for housing alternatives. The nation's housing bigwigs have "commoditized" seniors and people in other age groups, and without a lot of input, they think that they are serving desired housing needs.
But you aren't necessarily bound to the options the housing bigwigs decide to offer. Explore a housing form quite common on the East and West coasts, and about which there's growing interest in Minnesota.
Design decisions are made by the group of people that organizes to form the community, and once it's been built to the specifications decided upon, and the various private housing units are formally purchased and occupied, the "intentional neighborhood" is self-maintained and self-managed by the residents, themselves. It's called cohousing, but that does NOT mean roommates and it does NOT mean a commune. Each individual or household has its regular own private condo or townhome.
Show up to learn more. Free to attend. Held in conjunction with the Twin Cities Cohousing Network and the Cohousing Meetup of MN/Western WI.
