John Stott Birding Day (Cedar Haven Eco-Centre)
Details
Saturday, May 10th is John Stott Memorial Birding Day! On this day, we are welcoming all to join us for a morning of recreational birding at the Cedar Haven Eco-Centre!
To ensure that everyone, regardless of experience level, is able to participate in and enjoy this day to the fullest, we are offering 2 sessions for this event: the Early Bird(er) and the Flock. Each session will be roughly 2 hours long.
- The Early Bird(er) session, led by our Conservation Coordinator (Jeremy Petrusma), will begin at 7:30am and is designed for experienced birders. This session will feature a quieter, guided bird walk around the property that will allow for more focused and peaceful observation of the birds onsite.
- The Flock session, led by our Environmental Education Coordinator (Amy Donais), will begin at 9am and is designed for new birders and families. This session will be very beginner-friendly! It will begin with an orientation to birding including learning how to use field guides and learning about birding etiquette. This session will also include a guided bird walk and other optional activities for children and families.
This event is open to adults and families. Please note that all children must be accompanied by an adult.
