Folks, Kalpna Singh-Chitnis an Indian-American, poet, filmmaker and actor based in the United States will be with TCPC on this day. We will get to know her writings, hear her recite from her books Bare Soul and Tafteesh Jari Hai (25th Anniversary Edition) which will be released in Hyderabad for the first time @ TCPC.

She will also interact with regulars on poetry. An open mic will follow.

A former lecturer of Political Science, Kalpna Singh-Chitnis has authored four collections of poems in English and Hindi. Her latest poetry collection, Bare Soul was awarded the 2017 “Naji Naaman Literary Prize for Creativity” in Lebanon. She has also received the prestigious “Bihar Rajbhasha Award” given by the government of Bihar, India, for her first poetry collection, Chand Ka Paivand (Patch of Moon) in 1987, “Bihar Shri” (Jewel of Bihar) title in 1988 and “Rajiv Gandhi Global Excellence Award” in 2014 for her contributions to literature and cinema. In 2015, she was nominated for the “Honor of Yeast Litteraire” by “Levure Litterarie” magazine in Paris, France, where she also served on the editorial board. Kalpna's poems have been translated into many languages, and her work has appeared in notable journals like World Literature Today, California Quarterly, Levure Litteraire, The Enchanting Verses and others. She is the Editor-in-Chief of Life and Legends and works on independent film projects in Hollywood.
