Our Community Pillars

  • Social

This pillar focuses on fostering a strong sense of belonging, connection, and sisterhood among Black women. It's about creating spaces—both physical and virtual—where members can build meaningful relationships, share experiences, offer mutual support, and celebrate their identities. Activities within this pillar might include social gatherings, cultural events, informal meetups, and online forums designed to cultivate camaraderie and a supportive network. The aim is to combat isolation, build a strong web of connections, and create a sense of collective identity and empowerment through shared experiences and understanding.

  • Health

This pillar prioritizes the holistic well-being of Black women, encompassing physical, mental, and emotional health. It aims to provide access to information, resources, and support systems that address the unique health challenges and disparities often faced by Black women. Activities might include workshops on nutrition, fitness, stress management, mental health awareness, and navigating healthcare systems. This pillar also focuses on promoting self-care practices and fostering a culture where prioritizing health is seen as an act of self-empowerment and collective strength.

  • Career

This pillar is dedicated to supporting the professional growth and advancement of Black women across various industries. It focuses on providing resources, mentorship, skill-building opportunities, and networking connections to help members navigate their career paths, overcome workplace challenges, and achieve their professional goals. Activities might include resume and interview workshops, salary negotiation training, industry-specific panels, mentorship programs, and job board sharing. The goal is to equip Black women with the tools and connections needed to thrive in their chosen fields and break down systemic barriers to advancement.

  • Entrepreneurship

This pillar aims to cultivate and support the entrepreneurial spirit and ventures of Black women. It provides resources, guidance, and a supportive ecosystem for those who are starting, growing, or considering their own businesses. Activities might include workshops on business planning, marketing, funding, legal considerations, and scaling. This pillar also fosters a network of Black women entrepreneurs for peer support, collaboration, and mentorship. The goal is to empower Black women to build economic independence, create wealth, and contribute to their communities through their own ventures.

  • Community

This pillar focuses on civic engagement, social responsibility, and collective impact within the broader community. It encourages Black women to use their individual and collective power to address social justice issues, advocate for change, and uplift their communities. Activities might include volunteering initiatives, voter registration drives, participation in local advocacy efforts, and partnerships with other community organizations. This pillar emphasizes the importance of giving back, making a difference, and amplifying the voices and concerns of Black women within the larger societal context.
