#### The Two Screenplays Writer Meetup

Two screenplays. Six months. Are you game?
We're building a small, serious screenwriting group in Charlotte (max 8 people) to collaboratively write TWO feature scripts in six months — then send them to festivals, producers, and prove Charlotte has a vibrant writing scene.
How it works:

1. Everyone pitches their best screenplay idea (first meeting)
2. Group votes on the top TWO ideas
3. We write BOTH scripts together (collaborative, not competitive)
4. Meet weekly (alternating in-person + Zoom)
5. Everyone contributes to a shared Google Doc (2+ hours/week)
6. At the end: two finished, polished scripts ready to submit

Who we're looking for (The Elite Eight):

• Time: 2+ hours/week for writing (no doomscrolling, actual work)
• Commitment: Weekly meetings for 6 months (miss 3, you're out)
• "Yes, And" mindset: Build on ideas, don't trash them. Bad ideas get filtered by group consensus, not one person's "quality control."
• Social accountability: We'll document our process (monthly 3-min reels, celebrate contributions, maybe give everyone a fun role/nickname based on their strengths)
• Friendliness: Collaborative spirits only. No lone wolves, no harsh critics.

What about credit/ownership? We'll vote democratically on copyright splits if a script sells. Fair share based on contribution.
Experience level: Beginners welcome IF you can commit. We value potential + work ethic over credentials.
