Type Brigade is Vancouver’s typography meetup. After a long hiatus, we’re excited to be back for Type Brigade №51 on March 12, 2024!
Join us at the BCIT Downtown Campus:

Lisa Taniguchi is a lettering artist, designer, and muralist with clients such as McDonalds, AT&T, and YVR Airport. She released her first font last year and is now working on her second. What’s it like making a font without any knowledge or practice? How is type design different from lettering? Is designing fonts the perfect creative challenge? All this and more 💫🌟💛
Franco Jonas

Franco Jonas specializes in crafting meticulously designed typefaces to address contemporary visual communication challenges particularly in the fields of type design, lettering, art direction, and branding. He has designed fonts and custom work for international clients such as Proud Brewery Co, Government of Chile, and several Latin American foundries.
