Indigenous typographies are trending within the larger global push toward multilingual and multi-scriptural practices. These forces have brought North American indigenous languages and their typographic representations into the global spotlight. How might individuals start to think about, navigate, and operate within this complex and developing context? This presentation will share creative practices, pedagogical outcomes, and efforts to establish a critical discourse.

Luis Callegari

Luis is a graphic designer and creative director from Argentina with over 15 years of experience crafting visual narratives for sports. He has had the opportunity to work with global brands like Adidas, Nike, PepsiCo, and currently EA Sports.

His focus is on purposeful design that blends culture, identity, and emotion. Some of his notable type design projects include the official Adidas typeface for the 2022 World Cup, the Norway 2024 name and number font, and work on lines like Ultraboost and Terrex. His passion lies in connecting people to products through the stories that bring them to life.
