Saturn Opposition???

Hello Star Gazers…
We are back with Starry Night Star Party. A public night to celebrate the past, present, and Future with Star Guiders.

We are organizing an evening of stargazing on Saturday Aug 26,2023.
This is the time. This August, Saturn comes nearest to us for 2023. It will remain close, big, and bright from mid-August through mid-September as it races towards its August 26-27 opposition.

“Opposition” is Saturn’s very closest point to Earth of the entire year. On this day, Earth passes right between the Sun and Saturn. With the Ringed Planet opposite the Sun, it’s face is fully illuminated.

More importantly, those fabled rings, which will be edgewise and vanish in 2025, are still “open” enough to reveal exquisite detail.

Explore the night sky with us - Please feel free to bring your family, friends , colleagues , neighbors and enjoy planets viewing thru our telescope.

Timing – 10:00pm – 1:30am

NOTE:
• Exact location shall be shared by Aug 25,2023 – tentative location will be Qudra.
• We will meet at Qudra parking lot around 8:30 – we will leave parking lot sharp at 9pm.
• Weather forecast so far is clear – but due to current weather, please expect some humidity – so please carry enough water to keep you dehydrate.
• No need to have 4x4 car.
• You are requested to carry any necessities you might deem necessary over the period (snacks, mats, comfortable chairs)
