Khasab Camping Trip ( 25-26 Sept 2015 )

The Musandam, separated from the rest of Oman by the United Arab Emirates, is the northernmost part of the Sultanate.

Due to its geographical position and mountainous terrain it was isolated from the rest of Oman and the region developed at its own pace. Graded roads cut across the mountains have now made it more accessible. The grandeur of Musandam can best be explored by sea.

Musandam Peninsula has an abundance of sheltered fjords, some only connected to the mainland by narrow cliffs. Fjords, or khors, created by fragmented rock stretching claw-like into the sea and massive overshadowing cliffs towering above are magnificently reflected in the water below.

Activities:

Long drive (2.5 hrs. from Dubai), mountain/ seaside roads, beaches, off-road, walking trek/ swimming/ snorkeling, campfire, barbecue .

Vehicle: 4x4 preferred, however sedans can also reach.

Cost: 170 AED Per Person

Basic Food (Meat; Fish; Salad; Bread)
Boat trip to/from port

NOT Included:

Transport to Khasab (Car pooling is available, kindly see the list attached)
Visa Costs (80 AED = 50 AED Entry + 35 AED Exit from Oman)

4)Camping Gear (tent; sleeping bed;torch; chairs; clothes)

5)Optional: Snorkeling/fishing gear/hiking boots

6)For Yourself: Sodas/Snacks/Extra Food you like

Important:

If anyone wants to leave earlier than the timing mentioned, he/she has to pay at his own cost the boat trip back to the port.
Passport Validity needed: 3 months
Oman car insurance (can be bought at border)
Car Registeration (if you are driving)
UAE Residence Visa
UAE Currency is accepted in Oman
Payment is received upfront (at port)
