Welcome to UAE Weekend Lovers!

We are a community of outdoor enthusiasts, not a tour operator. Our events are non-commercial, self-organized, and run on the principle of shared responsibility. While we provide detailed kit lists and logistics, all participants join at their own risk and are responsible for their own safety.

What to Expect
Year-Round Activity: We are outdoors every weekend. While we only post 1–2 public events per month on Meetup, we hold weekly social sessions—including running, climbing, and swimming—to build the community.

All Skill Levels: Our trips range from beginner hikes to technical advanced terrain. In the summer, we focus on water-based activities and canyoning.

Transportation: Owning a 4x4 is an advantage but not a requirement. We use a shared spreadsheet for every event to coordinate carpooling and ride-sharing.

Assessing Your Fitness & Experience
To ensure the safety of the group in remote areas, we ask that you honestly evaluate your capability before RSVPing. For Moderate+ level hikes, we require meeting you at a social session first, as these routes demand 100% mutual reliance.

Please consider the following when choosing an event:

Cardio Baseline: Can you maintain a steady uphill pace for 2+ hours with a weighted pack?

Terrain Comfort: Are you comfortable with loose scree, basic bouldering, or exposure (heights)?

Self-Sufficiency: Do you have the required gear (proper footwear, hydration systems, and sun protection) as listed in the event description?

Getting Started
We encourage you to browse our past events to get a feel for the terrain and intensity of our outings. If you are a new joiner, look out for our weekly social meets—it’s the best way for us to get to know each other before heading into the "middle of nowhere."
