Designing code around the data has been a known concept in computer science for decades. Adapting it to the distributed systems and software architectures reveals the same crucial importance of data analysis for the systems design.

By exploring real-world examples we'll see how just by analyzing data, companies were able to make clever trade-offs and save millions of dollars per year, while simplifying their stack drastically at the same time. We'll learn that systems designed around the data are usually much simpler and cheaper.

Through fascinating examples we'll also see how bad our intuition on data analysis, and why every gopher should be passionate about data science.
