Exploring ESG performance in job ads through AI and Data Science
Since 2020, we at Sia Partners have been pioneering the use of NLP to detect gender biases in Dutch job ads. Our project has evolved to include green job analysis and extend our scope to additional job boards internationally, utilizing nowadays also LLM and GenAI. In this talk, we will share the insights from our journey and the key findings from our latest whitepaper.

Polar Expedition: Speed and Developer Experience Insights of transitioning ML pipelines to Polars - Oliver Ford and Rik van der Vlist

We’ll show you how we reimplemented part of our use case from PySpark/Pandas to Polars and share our thoughts on the developer experience of these frameworks. We discuss the practicalities of converting existing code and pipelines, demonstrating how Polars can help shorten feedback cycles and enhance developer experience in machine learning and ETL workflows. Attendees will gain insights into setting up a productive data science environment and best practices for developers working with Polars.
