July Meetup ๐Summer Edition (Uber Engineering Sofia + GoBG)

Details
Hello Gophers,
Together with our friends from Golang Bulgaria, we are bringing the beach vibes in Sofia. Come join us for the summer edition of our tech meetup!
๐ AGENDA:
18:45 - 19:00 Meet & Greet ๐ค
19:00 - 19:30 "How the Go scheduler slays dragons" ๐ฅ
Evgeni Kolev @Uber Engineering Sofia
It's easy to spawn a goroutine in Go. It's easy to spawn a plethora of them.
The Go scheduler somehow manages to handle them seamlessly.
It does it job well, we barely notice its existence. But does it
really exist? Is it running in the background? Does our code call the
scheduler?
In this talk we'll explore the scheduler and try to understand what it
is, is it a real thing or a mythical beast.
Here be dragons.
19:30 - 20:00 "Unsessions" ๐ฅ
We are experimenting! For this meetup we'll try a time-boxed format of discussion on up to 5 different topics decided by the audience ON THE SPOT!

๐๐ผ SPEAKERS:
Evgeni Kolev wanted a motorcycle so much, so he got into tech to faster earn money for it. He never got one, but choosing tech was the right decision for him, one which he has never regretted, as he openly shares.
Evgeni started his career with typed, compiled languages. Later, having
found scripting languages, he ran away from type-checked languages and didn't look back for a long time. Now, as a Go and partially
functional programming enthusiast (pun intended), working with a
type-checked language is a must for him - the stricter, the better. Evgeni is part of Uber Eng Sofia team for about a year now.
And for the Unsessions - it is all of US (yes, YOU included)
