Building Applied AI products at Uber by Dhruv Ghulati

Uber AI is a team that helps accelerate the adoption of AI within Uber, and helps build concrete applied products that help other teams. I will walk through what our squad does, and a rundown of some AI products we have built in the past within near real time predictions, probabilistic predictions, computer vision and generative AI.

Payments Personalization: Using Machine Learning to understand local payment method preferences by Okke van der Wal, Sharon Gieske and Caio Guirado

Uber is active in 70+ markets and offering local payment methods is a key part of this global strategy. With more than 50+ payment methods available on our platform, there’s a need to guide our users towards a personalized payments experience. In this talk we’ll have the Payments ML team share their work on the various ML models they have deployed to influence payment behaviors & create seamless experiences at a global scale.
