U-Care's E-Luncheons are spaces for the community to have their voices heard in a meaningful way. Today's host is Program Manager Garrett Austin-Joyner. U-Care hosts weekly gatherings of Alaskans discussing the problems and dissatisfaction facing all of Alaska, especially in our very neighborhoods in the here and now and making actionable plans for change within the community. Each week will cover a topic from a list of concerns presented by the community: From hostile architecture making icy walks to bus-stops impossible to moldy food being sold in grocery stores to our neighbors and kids. U-Care hears you and together we will make a change.

Whether you are interested in discussing improvement of Anchorage and the greater state of Alaska through social programs, community outreach and activism, and volunteer opportunities, or just to be around people during your work from home afternoon, this space is for the people of Alaska.

This weekly program, unless otherwise stated, through April 2nd and will cover a wide array of topics voted on by the community so please be prepared to bring your compassion and understanding, passion and energy, good eats and sources. Ignorance shan't be tolerated and will be removed.

Our first session will be a chance for you to get to know U-Care, to ask any and all questions you may have about this program. While it features 2 questionnaire pieces, one before the session and another after, neither are required, but both are greatly appreciated.
