We are excited to announce 2 fantastic talks which will provide thought-provoking conversations, but also some great takeaways.

Yemima (Yemi) Safra from Transform is going to deliver a fantastic talk that she recently presented at Service Design in Government (SDinGov).

🔸Values that matter: Lessons from designing access to justice for vulnerable groups in immigration detention🔸

Human-centred design is often a balance between idealism and practicality. In sensitive and dynamic policy areas, such as immigration and asylum detention, striking this balance is especially tricky as the stakes are so high for all involved. Join Yemi as she reflects on the challenges and opportunities for co-design with people impacted by the service and those tasked with its implementation while navigating multiple government departments and changing policies.

Laura Heatherley from Department for Education & Sarah O'Donnell from AND Digital will be bringing to life an awesome project they helped deliver together

🔸Universal barriers & how they were used in the early years team🔸

At DfE, they have been developing a service to support childminders and nursery practitioners get practical advice to support the development of children in early years settings. Come along to hear about the work they've been doing to understand the universal barriers of our users and how the service has been designed to minimise the impact of those barriers for users when they access the service.
