Once upon a time, a bunch of people from Dubai stumbled upon the art of Improv Theatre Comedy and started jamming under the umbrella of Dubai Improv Tribe
And then, they started to run jams, host shows and workshops, and the tribe continued to grow.
But suddenly, the world went online! The DIT quickly adapted to the new reality, devising several online formats, jams and shows. They even launched a podcast, Unscripted with DIT.
Because of which, the tribe now had members across the globe, no longer limited by mundane concepts like geography and timezones.
Because of which, the moniker DIT had to be revamped.
And finally, the council of high priests, led by the Grand Poobah, renamed the Tribe. From 2024, they are known as UCUBED – where everything is Unknown, Unplanned, and Unscripted.
