Malta 2026
Details
This will be a trip arriving on Saturday 3rd October, doing 6 days diving and then leaving the following weekend.
The plan is to dive with Paradise Diving who are based in Cirkewwa, which is a marine reserve and the most popular dive site in the country. It is also convenient for the Gozo ferry, so sites there will be available.
See https://paradisediving.com/
For their dive sites and prices.
Many of the dive sites are wrecks that were sunk deliberately for divers, but there are also walls, caverns and unique sites like the Inland Sea where you enter in a pool and then dive out towards the open sea through a large tunnel. There's an air gap overhead, so no special qualifications are required.
The wrecks are possibly not quite as colourful as the AI generated event image, but they are nice.
You will need to be qualified to dive to 30m to join the dives. Paradise are a PADI centre so we should be able to arrange courses in advance such as AOW, deep diver and DPV (underwater scooter). So OW divers could join, do their AOW for the first couple of days and then join the group.
As I am not a travel agent, and don't want either the legal implications or the general hassle. I'm only liaising with the dive centre on behalf of the group. You need to book your own flights and accommodation. I'm staying in Bugibba which is the nearest resort. There are plenty of hotels, bars and restaurants there. Transport will be easier if we're all staying reasonably close together.
I would suggest flying out on the 3rd and then back on either the 10th or 11th, depending on how long a surface interval you want. Diving should be finished by 3pm every day. I will be around before and after this week for anyone who fancies staying a bit longer.
Join the WhatsApp group so we can discuss accommodation etc.

I will setup a spreadsheet so people can say what kit they need nearer the time.
