What we’re about
Ueda Mountain hiking and climbing Club is an international outdoor group for anyone interested in mountain hiking and climbing around Nagano and Kanto. Events for all skill levels (Beginner to Advance) and your mountaineering knowledge and skills are welcome. This is your doorway to explore finding out a new world.
Looking forward to trying new mountain climbing and sharing kind of breathtaking, panoramic mountain sceneries from the summit with you.
The meetup mainly works in the South, North, and Center Alps around Nagano, Japan.
Additional information for people who live outside of Japan:
We are happy to help you to explore the majestic Japan Alps as a volunteer in Nagano, Japan, such as arranging accommodation, and mountaineering gear rentals. For further information let email us, or other communication tools available, Skype, Zoom, or something.
Please be prepared to abide by these policies:
1: You need to keep up with the group, meaning if you are hiking or climbing in the back you need to keep in sight of the main group.
2: If you have to leave the group for any reason, you need to let me know in advance (in person or via phone/text), and then message me when you are back to the parking lot so we know you are safe.
3: We leave on time: Out of respect for the majority of people who arrive on time, we will leave promptly at the designated time, allowing 5-10 minutes of "grace period". If you arrive late, please text or call me at 080-7635-0256 and I will let you know where we are on the trail so you can catch up with the group.
4: This group is friendly and social, and lots of good conversations take place, which is great and encouraged. However, I would ask you to please be careful about sensitive subjects (politics, religion, etc) as not everyone agrees with you and wants to hear that stuff.
