Event Title: Empowering Communities: Beyond Healthcare – Volunteer Training Launch
Description:
This is the first official meeting for our Volunteer Empowerment Programa hands-on initiative that prepares volunteers in Massachusetts to teach practical, life-sustaining skills in rural Uganda.
During the session, we will present our holistic approach to community empowerment, which goes beyond healthcare to address food security, clean water, shelter, sanitation, first aid, income generation, and dignity through clothing and light.
Volunteers will be introduced to the various skills training workshops available locally, ranging from poultry farming and brick making to soap, candle, and cup making and how these can be transferred to empower communities abroad.
This meeting will also serve as a networking and orientation opportunity for new and returning volunteers who want to make a lasting impact through culturally sensitive and skill-based service.
Audience: Open to anyone interested in community service, skills sharing, sustainable development, and cross-cultural volunteerism.
