• Ben has spent over 10 years leading engineering in startups and high-growth companies. As a founder, a CTO, a producer and a product leader he's bridged the gap between research and product development. Having worked with the cutting edge of augmented reality, scaling 3D gaming, and same day logistics, he’s no stranger to taking on technical challenges, and the commercial realities that entails. Having found a home in DevRel in recent times, Ben now works to make real-time data a reality for anyone who needs it with open source tools and shared ideas.

• The synergy between vector databases and deep learning models like large language models is reshaping how we think about using data. In this hands-on demo, we'll explore the practicalities of this through examples of retrieval-augmented generation, and multi-modal models using Weaviate. Whether you're looking to optimize your current applications or embark on new AI-driven projects, this demonstration will equip you with practical insights and inspire you with possibilities.

• Speakers: JP Hwang and Zain Hasan are DevRel teammates at Weaviate. Zain is a Senior Developer Advocate with a background as an engineer and data scientist, and JP is an Educator who very much enjoys asking dumb questions to the real experts so you don't have to.
