London Open Source Data Infrastructure Meetup - Lightning Talks on Apache Kafka

Details
The meeting will be held in South Gallery room 19 at CentrEd at ExCel. Come in through the CentrEd entrance on the south (waterfront) side of the ExCel centre, take the lift to level 2, and turn right.
- Are you interested in learning more about open-source data technologies? ✅
- Do you want to network with local and international tech professionals in a fun, relaxed environment? ✅
Then join us on March 20th, for our first meetup of the year, cohosted by Decodable and Aiven.
This evening will be lightning talks.
A lightning talk is a short talk, up to 10 minutes long, on any subject that attendees will find interesting (so from Apache Kafka itself and event streaming to database wire protocols to open source to machine learning to ... well, that's up to you). Slides are optional, and are traditionally often prepared at the last minute.
You can pre-book a slot with this form or by messaging us via meetup, otherwise you're welcome to turn up on the day and just present!
It's your chance to enthuse about something you really care about, or that thing people should really know.
We already know we'll have contributions from Ben Gamble, Gunnar Morling, Robin Moffatt and Tibs.
Provisional Agenda:
- 18:00 - 18:30 Welcome: Networking & snacks
- 18:30 - 18:35 Kickoff (Welcome from Aiven and Decodable)
- 18:35 - 20:00 Lightning talks
- 20:00 - 21:00 Networking
Please note that this is an alcohol-free event. Light bites will be provided.
By attending this event, you agree to abide by our community code of conduct.
