London Scratch Educator Meetup - hosted by Barefoot

Details
Through their role in the Scratch Education Collaborative (SEC), Barefoot are delighted to host London’s first Scratch Educator Meetup. This peer-led professional learning session allows you decide what your learning looks like, which means you can share, create, and learn with other educators who are also passionate about promoting creativity, play, and computational thinking through teaching with Scratch. Possible focus areas include:
- Introducing Scratch to primary aged pupils for the first time
- Managing common problems and misconceptions
- Projects to promote creativity when examining specific programming concepts
- Linking physical computing devices to Scratch
- Moving from block based to text based programming
- Anything else you want to discuss!
Anyone who is interested in connecting with fellow educators and learning more about using Scratch in educational settings is welcome to participate.
Please note - This Meetup is part of the I Love Computing Conference 2023. The event is free to attend, although you should also sign up to the conference here in order to gain entry to the Scratch Educator Meetup.
