🩷About Host🩷
I was in a 15 year toxic, abusive relationship with my ex for all of my adult life. When the cycle finally came to a stop, and he moved on, I felt like my world had crashed around me. The hardest question to answer was "what do you like to do?" I realized that I didn't know who I was anymore because for so long my likes were his likes, and my favorite things were his favorite things. I had given up every part of me to be able to be what he needed me to be. Something as simple as trying pickles on my burger was a re-learning experience for me. I struggled finding my own identity, lost on who I wanted to be now that I could be whoever I wanted. But more importantly I felt completely alone and abandoned. That's when I found this group and was surprised to find that there were other people out there going through similar situations, and relieved to know that I wasn't the crazy one in the relationship. Attending these meetings and being able to openly share my experiences with this group has made navigating through life so much easier. Regaining my self-confidence, being able to hold my head up, and learning how to take my power back has been one of the hardest, yet most rewarding, things I have ever done for myself.
YOU ARE NOT ALONE!
