Looking to find interested ukulele learners and players to get some basic songs working on the Ukulele with three or 4 chords. All ages are welcome (kids must bring a guardian or a parental unit, this will be mainly adults however). Well, ya gotta have a ukulele standard tuning such as a Soprano, Tenor or Concert Size. If you just want to sing along that's fine as well. I can recommend ways to get one and what to watch out for -the good and the bad in ukuleles. I also teach music in the OC around Irvine to Costa Mesa (since like forever, 1989). For starters "get-togethers" are purely voluntary an there are spaces around the Flight at Legacy Park (Free parking usually) and the 'Mess Hall" area in Tustin at Barranca and Redhill on the third Saturday of the month at noon for and hour or a little more.
Fair weather Ukulele Players can meetup with us on the fourth Saturday of the month at Legacy Park at the "Flight". If there are a lot of us, we can meet in the park "amphitheater seating". The free parking lot is on Flight Way - just off Baranca near Red Hill. Park there, and if there are just a few of us we may meet by the "Mess Hall" outdoor tables, just a short walk from the parking area. Bring your ukulele. Look for people with ukuleles! The first meetups are a trial to see how this goes. I'll hand out some song sheets. Please respond if you want to try this.
