Amersham Chess Valley Circular

The Chess Valley is one of the most beautiful and tranquil parts of the Chiltern Hills – which makes it all the more amazing that along its whole length it is never more than a couple of kilometres from the Amersham Underground Station. This walk explores it thoroughly, starting in Amersham, whose station already has a very rural feel, and afterwards dipping in and out of the valley, with a number of fine panoramic views.
This is a beginner/moderate walk with some hills.

GRADE: Beginner/Intermediate 18 km, 380m ascent, on good paths 4 hr 30 min walking time.

COST: £1 payable on RSVP. The cost includes the guided hike , click “Attend” to join.

MEETING POINT & TIME: 10:00 at Amersham station.

WALK FINISHES: Expected return back to Amersham station is around 17:00

LUNCH : Packed lunch

What to bring: Lunch, snacks, water (1-2 liters), suitable clothing and hiking footwear.
