Cambridge Social Photography Monthly Meet
This is a relaxed, community-led meetup that takes place every month. It isn’t a structured or formally hosted event — some months people will turn up, some months fewer will. That’s the nature of it. It grows based on the people who show up.
The aim is simple: meet other photographers, socialise, make friends, and share knowledge. Whether you’re brand new or experienced, it’s a space to learn from each other and just enjoy photography without pressure.
Occasionally, the organiser will attend and run informal workshops or offer guidance, but this isn’t guaranteed — the strength of this meetup comes from the community itself.
After the meetup, people are encouraged to head out on a photowalk together. It’s a great way to put ideas into practice, collaborate, and explore Cambridge through photography.
If you take photos during the meet or photowalk, you’re encouraged to share your work with the community by tagging or submitting to @uksocialphotography on Instagram.
There’s also a private WhatsApp group you can join, where hundreds of photographers across the UK connect, share work, plan shoots, and keep the conversation going beyond the monthly meets.
This is your community — it only becomes what people make of it.
