London Social Photography Monthly Meet

This is a relaxed, community-led meetup held each month at The Photographers’ Gallery, 16–18 Ramillies Street, London, W1F 7LW.

There’s no formal host or structure — it runs entirely on the people who show up. Some months will be busier than others, and that’s completely fine. The whole point is to create a consistent space where photographers can meet, connect, and build something over time.

When you arrive, head inside and to the café area on the right. There won’t be a sign-in desk or organiser waiting — just set your camera down on the table or write “Social Photography” on a piece of paper so others can find you.

It’s also encouraged to actively ask people around you if they’re there for Social Photography. That’s the whole point of this — use it as an easy way to start conversations, meet new people, and get comfortable engaging with others.

The focus is simple: socialising, making friends, sharing ideas, and learning from each other. No pressure, no expectations.

After the meetup, people are encouraged to head out on a photowalk together around London. It’s a great way to shoot, collaborate, and build connections naturally.

If you take photos, share them with the community by tagging or submitting to @uksocialphotography on Instagram.

There’s also a private WhatsApp group you can join, where photographers across the UK stay connected, share work, and organise future shoots.

This only works if people take part — so show up, speak to people, and be part of it.
