UK Theatre, plays & Live Entertainment Fans
Do you enjoy going to the theatre?
Do you enjoy musicals, plays, or other live performances?
Do you want to meet up with some like-minded people, face to face and perhaps an occasional zoom / virtual meetup, and enjoy musicals, plays and other live entertainment?
I'm based near Liverpool, so primarily Liverpool, Manchester initially, although also Stratford upon Avon & London events occasionally.
Events and trips within North West of England are likely, Stratford upon Avon and London and possibly other locations (Minack open-air, hand-carved, theatre on Cornish coast) trips are also planned.
Depending on group interest and commitment, I'm prepared to plan maybe a monthly, sometimes more frequent, theatre (musical, play etc).
In order to make this group work, it will need your commitment to:
- commit to events, IF you fancy them
and EITHER - pay me upfront once we agree on an event, before I pay, so I can order tickets together (especially if we want to benefit from group discounts)
OR - buy your ticket(s) quickly, so that we end up sitting together
if not, tickets may sell out, people will be sitting apart, and the group won't work
What doesn't work well, is when people say they will attend, and someone (me or others) book a ticket, then people don't buy a ticket, and cancel, especially at short notice.
Obviously, things can crop up, but if we want this group to work, we need people to commit to some events. No point in running the group if only one person goes :-)
There is no joining fee during the initial trial period, but I may introduce a nominal fee per annum, to cover some costs (eg meetup annual fee, time and effort, ATG theatre card membership if people will benefit from my membership for discount and early booking tickets etc).
The group is open to anyone who enjoys live entertainment, primarily musicals and theatre, but all events considered.
I'm happy for anyone to join the group, who is likely to attend a live event in the North West UK, or from other regions who would like to meet in London from time to time, for musicals, plays and other live performances.
I've set up some meetup groups, and one of them was intended to also include trips to the theatre etc. Because it's a mixed group, with a common interest in spirituality, and enjoying nights out for food and drinks, and walks at weekends, there isn't as much interest within THAT group, for the theatre side of things.
