Brats, Beer, Beginners AND Ukulele’s ….Oktoberfest in September!

Details

b]This just in!!! Local Luthier - Brian Paul of Brian Paul Guitars in Addison will be joining us. He will be sharing a few words about care and upkeep of ukuleles in our harsh Texas climate. If you have a Ukulele that needs a little TLC or you want Brian to look over one of your Ukulele's in need of repair - BRING IT!

Now is the time to grab your stein and fill it with your favorite German beer!

Why not!?

Carla Shelton better known as Shello has graciously offered up her home for our next FREE Beginners Workshop. Due to security reasons on the Internet – Carla’s address will be given to you, with your RSVP “YES”. Kathy will email you. NOTE: A reminder email will be sent to those who RSVP " YES " with Carla's Address one day prior to the event.

But for planning purposes the closest intersection is Midway Rd and Forest Ln.

Since many German Oktoberfestivals are held as early as September, we thought – why not!

SCHEDULE

3:00pm- 3:30pm – Arrive, mingle
3:30pm - 5:00pm – FREE Beginners Workshop (New Music)
5:00pm – 6:30pm – Oktoberfest Themed Pot Luck Dinner

WHO: The Workshop will be lead by none other than, Mark "Twang" Levine, who is the creator and founder of Dallas Ukulele Headquarters. Mark is self taught and has been playing for some 10 years. Known for his humor and Ukulele jokes, Mark really puts the "FUN FACTOR" into learning Ukulele.

COST: There is NO COST for this workshop.

WHAT TO BRING: Ukulele, folding chair, dish to pass, and a music stand (if you have one) - not required.

This is a BYOB event!

And if I forgot to mention it – ANYONE and EVERYONE is Welcome to join us – no matter what your level of play – Old timers and New comers alike!!!

Carla will be providing the Brats and Kathy & Mark will provide ham. Yeah, I know ham is not so German – but get over it – that’s what we are bringing! See the creative SPIN on this…???

Don't let the food options scare you away, if you want something simple to bring email me for suggestions OR check out one of the local German cafe's in our area - perhaps bring something from one of these locations.
