Ukulele SPOOKTACULAR OPEN MIC/JAM and Costume Party 👻👻👻👻

🎃 Join us for a SPOOKTACULAR UKULELE OPEN MIC & JAM! 🪕👻
COSTUMES! MUSIC! PRIZES! HALLOWEEN FUN!
Beginners, newcomers and guests are ALWAYS welcome!
And this year we're doing it on HALLOWEEN!
We're starting early at 2:00 PM, so you can join us for an afternoon of ukulele mayhem and still have plenty of time afterward for Halloween parties, trick-or-treating, handing out candy, or whatever other spooky plans you have!
This isn't just an Open Mic/Jam — it's a COSTUME PARTY!
Come dressed in your favorite costume. Costumes aren't required, but they're definitely encouraged. I'll be dressing up, and there WILL be a costume competition, so come dressed to win!
And we're bringing back another important category:
🎵 BEST HALLOWEEN SONG!
So if you're performing in the Open Mic, start working on something spooky!

### 🪕 SCHEDULE

2:00–4:00 PM — Open Mic intermingled with group jam songs
We'll mix Open Mic performances throughout the afternoon with songs everyone can play together.
Order food or drinks when you arrive! We'll award the trophies toward the end of the jam.

Want to perform? Please sign up ahead of time!
Plan on one song so we have plenty of time for everyone who wants to perform AND plenty of time for group jam songs.
And since it's Halloween, we'd LOVE to hear your spooky songs! 👻
Perform a Halloween song, a song about ghosts, monsters, witches, magic, murder, mayhem — or anything else you think fits the occasion. You'll lead the song as your Open Mic performance.
If you'd like the rest of the group to play along with you, send me your song chart ahead of time and I'll add it to the jam book!
Charts with the chords placed inline with the lyrics are especially helpful and make it much easier for me to add your song. But if you don't have an inline-chord chart, don't let that stop you — send me what you've got and I'll see what I can do with it.
And remember, there's a trophy for BEST HALLOWEEN SONG! 🏆🎃
Dallas Ukulele Headquarters will arrange the performance order to keep the afternoon moving and balance the performances.

### 🎶 GROUP JAM MUSIC

Our regular group jam songs will be intermingled throughout the Open Mic performances.
I'll upload the completed Halloween jam book — including Open Mic charts that have been submitted in time — to the Dallas Ukulele Headquarters Facebook Group before the event.
Please bring your own copy or have the songbook available on your tablet/iPad. I will NOT have extra printed copies at the event.

• Your ukulele
• The jam music — printed or on your tablet/iPad
• A music stand if you use one (tabletop stands work great)
• Kazoo or another fun extra instrument
• YOUR HALLOWEEN COSTUME!
