The "E Z Dozen" Uke Group The “E Z DOZEN” UKE GROUP EASY Ukulele Group, Mondays (1st&3rd), Island Bazaar.Come play, sing & have fun, using only about a DOZEN chords!!!D E T A I L SWHY? Folks learn the ukulele to have FUN. New uke-sters should not be“intimidated” by more advanced ukulele groups. There are many, MANY great songs tha tcan be played using only a DOZEN or so chords.....FUN songs. Seeing the need for a more beginning/transition group “E Z DOZEN” was formed. It’s not a class, lesson, or teaching experience (though those things can happen); it is simply a place to PLAY, SING and have FUN with the uke! WHAT? A group that meets the first & third Mondays for 1 1/2 hours with a leader who leads the group through one song after another. No teacher saying, “This is how you make a G7.” Just playing songs! Voices are provided by US, and accompaniment is also by US! The group will NOT get harder and harder as time goes by.........when you“outgrow” EZ DOZEN it’s time to advance to “Uke Jam”, “Surf City Strummers”,“Kolohe” or some other group.HOW? Attendees should be pretty familiar IN ADVANCE with the following chords:C C7 A Am A7 F F7 D D7 Dm G G7 E7 Em B7 Bb. There are countless great songs that use just these chords....plenty to play and enjoy!!!We will avoid any song with more “complicated” chords.......but you’ll eventually learn them on your own, GROW, and move to more advanced groups.....or start a solo career! But for now we’ll keep it simple! E Z DOZEN will play out of Island Bazaar’s full repertoire songbook (Can be purchased as a BIG BOOK or downloaded onto iPad). The book has 400+ songs to grow into on your own, BUT EZ DOZEN can play about 150 of them with our EASY CHORDS!!! Each player will need to bring their own book or iPad. Ask Island Bazaar about the book or download.HOW MUCH? The group leaders are doing this gratis out of the kindness of their hearts (Ah!). However, to help support Island Bazaar (keeping open, electricity, plumbing, rent, etc!) a donation of $5.00 will be accepted. Supporting I.B. is important considering all it gives to the OC and SoCal ukulele world.WHERE? Island Bazaar, 16582 Gothard St., Suite R, Huntington Beach, CA 92647,(714)[masked] WHEN?
