Ukuleles Canberra - aka URoC (Ukulele Republic of Canberra)

We will be using Songbook 3 and the Aussie Music Songbook from our November 2025 meetup. Copies will be available for purchase or sharing at the event.

We will meet outdoors in Tuggeranong Park (see map) weather permitting.

Don't forget your chair, hat, music stand, cool water and bug spray.

The bad weather venue is the Tuggeranong 55+ Club in Cowlishaw St Tuggeranong. A decision will be made on Friday night if we are to use the bad weather venue. A message will be sent to those who have RSVP'd if there is a change of venue. Please check this site before you leave home on Saturday.

We use the kanakapila format, where everyone takes a turn to choose a song from the Songbook(s) with the whole group playing and singing along. You can choose to perform your chosen song or you can bring a new song with around 20 copies to share. You can also pass your turn.
When it is your turn, we encourage you to lead the song using the mic and sound equipment provided. We encourage everyone to have a go at this, because having the song led at the mic helps to keep the song moving along with the bass and percussion.
